New Product and Process Engineer

About our client: Privately held company with exceptional international brand recognition.  This is a great opportunity to take your engineering or science career to the next level by working with an internal R&D division to take their developed products to commercialization.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the scaling up of new products and process to ensure cost, quality and timing targets are met.

This highly visible and challenging opening is for an experienced engineer with the objective of scaling up process operations from a R&D lab to pilot scale. The projects will involve new process operations and could involve existing product types, product lines or those that are new the company and industry. Additionally, this person will be asked to problem solve and make decisions using analytical and cost-efficient skills.

Requirements:

Degree: Minimum 4-year college degree in an engineering or science discipline

2 or years of current or recent experience of taking developed R&D products to a pilot stage or manufacturing stage.

Strong ability to communicate with all levels of workers involved in a pilot line project; from the line workers to corporate leadership.

Overnight travel could be extensive at times and allows for weekends at home.

Must be able to lead problem solving teams and function effectively as a team member

Experience managing contract staff to teach efficient operating techniques
