Surgical (Surg Techs) Technicians

Our client is currently recruiting Surgical Technicians for openings in Dayton, OH

Description of Job Duties:
– Performs scrub in OR

– Anticipates needs of patient and surgeon
– Strong critical thinking skills, prioritization, and ability to be decisive under pressure
– Supervised by RN
– Prepares and knows the specific uses of equipment, instrumentation and supplies

Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of surgical technology (civilian or military), Associate of Arts Degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited technical or liberal arts.

Certification: BLS through AHA.

Certification as a Surgical Technologist under the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist by graduating from a CAAHEP and passing a national certification examination (CST) OR, certification under the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or certification under the Armed Forces (military) Program is required.
