Director of Research and Development

Our Client:

Long respected as a leader in the international marketplace, our client has had multiple years of sales and revenue growth.  Join this leading company and take part in their upstream R&D programs.

Responsibilities:

Leading and working with a team of research chemists in a R&D setting.  75% of work is client driven, 25% of work is internal directed. The research and development work will encompass multiple chemical and physical materials.  In addition to the lab work, this person will be the client face of the R&D lab. Extensive overnight and international travel is expected as they travel with the sales and executive team to conferences and client presentations.

Qualifications:

Experience working with multiple material technologies, including taking on new material technologies.

Experience with presenting to decision makers and trade show conferences as a SME type

Strong communications skill in person and with computer sw

7 years current or recent experience in R&D and R&D lab

People and product research management experience

Strong business acumen

Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, possibly Engineering or??

Ability to travel Internationally and travel up to 50% annually
