Java Developer

Job Description

You work alongside the R&D Engineering Team to implement first-to-market technology solutions that improve the experience of the customers and the efficiency of their associates. You will be  engaged across numerous facets of these projects, helping to design new customer experiences, integrating new systems with existing solutions, and providing guidance on how technology can help our client meet their business objectives. We need someone comfortable to lead a team of developers of mixed skill levels and someone who is comfortable across all levels of the technology stack, from creating dynamic and responsive UIs, to developing SOA solutions integrating multiple systems, as well as using modern tools to integrate with backend systems both modern and legacy.

Job Requirements

Experience leading a team of developers and an interest in delivering Commercial Applications

• Comfortable using Agile practices (SCRUM, Jira, Artifactory, Code Reviews, User Stories and Planning)
• Enterprise Java using Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate  and Unit Testing
• Experience with Angular 5+
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, the Go language and Bash Shell scripting
• Display an ability to rapidly learn new technologies and techniques and can apply them to work or projects
• Strong database experience with a range of Rational and NoSQL databases
• Can work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet key deadlines and have excellent problem solving skills
• Are comfortable working independently and collaborate with seasoned system engineering professionals as well as working directly with clients and business partners
• Show interest in participating in the developer and technology community
