Summary: Performs testing on various plastic products using established test methods and various lab equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• • • Accurately prepare, cut, and test samples using approved methods and equipment.
    • Confirm and use approved test methods, equipment and fixtures to assure conformance to each test methodology.
    • Perform necessary mathematical calculations where/when required.
    • Record tested attributes and variables into proper format (electronic or written) and maintain accurate back up filing system, deliver test results to lab manager in a timely fashion.
    • Maintain good laboratory controls and documentation of testing records.
    • Maintain a fully stocked lab with needed supplies.
    • Maintain a clean and organized environment.
    • Report any equipment/maintenance or safety issues to proper authority promptly.
    • Assist in trouble shooting problems with test equipment, fixtures, electronics and any general lab equipment needed for daily lab production.
    • Reports any issues effecting efficiencies or priorities directly to Lab Manager.
    • Assist research staff in scheduling and placing environmental product studies.
    • Perform basic operations of the database including, entering data and pulling data reports.
    • Seamlessly communicate with the Lab Manager to assure all testing will be completed accurately and within the required timing.
    • Perform any other general duties that may be assigned such as prototyping, cleaning, etc.
